The Houston County Highway Department maintains 396 roads consisting of approximately 322 miles of roadway within Houston County.
Responsibilities Include:
- Resurfacing county roads
- Road grading
- Mowing and mow-trimming
- Ditch cleaning
- Culvert cleaning
- Bridge construction, repair & maintenance
- Guardrail installation and repairs
- Storm debris clearing/removal
- Provide adequate signage
